William Bennett, President

After graduating from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, Mr. Bennett entered the petroleum industry in 1980 working for David Waldron and Associates, Inc. Extensive geologic research enabled Bill to recommend many drill sites and direct numerous lease acquisitions. During this time he was also responsible for engineering the drilling and completion of nearly 200 new wells, mostly to the Clinton Sandstone. Additionally, his responsibilities included volumetric and performance reserve analysis and consulting for numerous clients through Waldron and Associates. After joining Cedar Valley in April 1986 as a geologist and completion engineer, Bill soon became Vice-President and Partner, with duties of directing all field operations, prospect acquisitions and production operations. In March of 1992, Mr. Bennett became President of Cedar Valley Energy, Inc. Mr. Bennett is professionally affiliated with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and is the current President of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association. Mr. Bennett was recently appointed by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland to the newly formed Fuel Production Task Force. This committee is charged with finding new ways to develop, produce and refine both conventional and unconventional fuels in Ohio.




Mark G. Conway, Vice-President

After graduating in 1979 from Cleveland State University with a degree in Business Administration, Mr. Conway entered the oil and gas industry as the Assistant to the President of David A. Waldron & Assoc., Inc., an oilfield service company. In becoming the Executive Vice-President, his duties were expanded to a variety of administrative responsibilities along with marketing the company’s field services and new well drilling programs. In 1988, Mr. Conway was co-founder and Executive Vice-President of Wellworks, Inc., an Ohio based oil and gas well service business formed through the acquisition of the well servicing assets of David A. Waldron & Associates. After selling the company to an industry partner in 1992, Mark joined Cedar Valley Energy, Inc. as co-owner and Vice-President with duties of management, contract administration, acquisitions, and marketing of the company’s new well drilling programs.




Joe D. Lang, General Manager

Joe joins the CVE management team with 25 years of energy industry experience covering production, well servicing, and administration background. His unique combination of field experience and solid accounting and finance knowledge provides valuable perspective in the management of our overall operation. Joe is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Ashland University with a B.S. in Finance & Accounting. He was also the President/Owner of Lang Well Service in Ohio.




Tim Cosma, Production and Field Supervisor

Tim joined C.V.E. in June of 1989 and now has more than 20 years of oil and gas field experience. Shortly after he started with the company, Tim was promoted to Production and Field Supervisor. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s oil and gas production in both Ohio and Pennsylvania together with the field management of all our new well construction involved in our drilling and post drilling activities.





Linda Murphy, Office Manager

Linda joined C.V.E. in April of 1996 with ten plus years of oil and gas bookkeeping experience. Her responsibilities include computerized revenue distribution, accounting functions, and all of the office management duties.

 

Jeanne Artrip, Administrative Assistant

Jeanne has been with Cedar Valley since 1997 and provides valuable backup and support to all general office functions.

Tom Confer, Well Tender

Tom is employed by Cedar Valley Energy, Inc. to consistently monitor the production of a variety of our oil and gas wells in Ohio. He possesses a strong mechanical background which is very valuable in maximizing the production from the wells.

Robert McGarry, Well Tender

The recent addition of Bob to our staff allows us to add another member with solid oilfield experience of 29 years. His many years involved in a variety of oilfield related duties further strengthens our close monitoring of the wells that we operate.
